Introducing
William McCarthy
William McCarthy is a fine artist currently residing in Connecticut. Each piece he paints begins in a pocket sized sketchbook which William takes wherever he goes. The quick and detail-less sketches he makes have enough information to remind him of his ideas in his studio - where his dreamy oil landscapes begin. The paintings begin with under colors of cadmium red and orange, and then the initial sketch is done in charcoal. After, thin layers of paint are used to build the image. Each images is then glazed and the colors are adjusted and toned to completion.
